And when from bondage we're liberated, our former sufferings shall fade from mind - Moreton Bay
I don't like to complain, but the last two days were, seriously, so hot. I wasn't coping very well. I'm so relieved that I was able to get my act together and get a good lot of assignments marked today, thanks to the beautiful rain that is still happening outside. I had a sudden urge to record a song just now, which I'll share with you here. I dove into my music the other day and was inspired to revisit my book of Australian art songs, which includes this version of the folk song, Moreton Bay. A few years ago I heard a soprano sing this song, and despite the graphic content, I thought it was very pretty sung that way, so I sang it at a couple of eisteddfods. It feels meaningful, naturally, because I'm living in the vicinity at the moment - where, if history is accurate - many tears and much blood was shed, but also, because the lyrics echo words being spoken during this present time - words such as 'tyranny', 'tyrants', 'monsters', and 'liberation'. The song ends, however, with a message of hope for liberation, and again this is pertinent, as whether or not we are fully aware of it, we are in the final throes of a battle for liberation from tyranny.
I want to give a update on the convoy situation, because the mainstream media certainly haven't been doing their job. In Canada, the coverage has been horrifying, with participants being called a “small fringe minority” with “unacceptable views.” 50 000 truckers - everyday people embarking on a convoy for freedom - are not a fringe minority. Sadly, even more awful words are being used to describe these heroes who are enacting miracles on our behalf.
A number of recent mainstream media articles have cherry-picked bad actors unrepresentative of the convoy’s peaceful protest, claiming that the movement is made up of “white nationalists,” the “far-right” and “domestic terrorists.''
Trudeau has also used similar language in the past. In a recently resurfaced interview with a Quebec talk show in September, the prime minister called millions of unvaccinated Canadians “racists and misogynists.”
The true story is being deliberately suppressed by the mainstream media, but fortunately, my favourite truthers, Jean Claude and Janine, were covering the 'Siege of Ottawa' live the other day. People on the ground are seeing a party for freedom, with people of all ages connecting, singing, sharing food, etc.
Even more heartbreaking, is the coverage of the Convoy to Canberra. Again, the truth is not being told. There are, however, videos circulating on Telegram and Facebook which show what is really happening. I saw, today, many people camping, again families, people of all ages, relaxed, chatting. Last night I saw footage of a man who had been pepper sprayed desperately asking for water and a woman washing out his eyes with a water bottle while he was being held by police. The behaviour of the police towards people was very difficult to watch, and apparently it was completely uncalled for, just part of the show for the media - the propaganda to support the mainstream agenda. Absolutely horrible. My comfort is that I don't have the slightest doubt that many more people will wake up to the truth. Everything is happening for a reason, all the counters are being played, and the truth will soon come to light.
Meanwhile, I will hold the line from the lush paradise of my place on 'the island', which is still bucketing down rain - it's been hours now. The butterflies kept me company on the veranda while I worked today, and a kookaburra had a shower on the front gate. My rain dance on the veranda was cooling relief after the heatwave, and singing with accompaniment from the pouring rain was a wonderfully cathartic way to end the day. My only wish is that we can all come together from wherever we are, in spirit if not in body, to promote change and growth and transmute the darkness of the world into light. This is our most important work.
There is work to be done and obligations to be met — obligations to truth, to justice, and to liberty...
One person can make a difference and everyone should try...
The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened...
Today, we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free...
